12/28 #2

Dr. Friedman visited around 0730 and told us her blood count is low this morning. He ordered platelets for her.

We're waiting for the type test to come back and they'll start that.

The fever seems to be staying down and her BP was just at perfect last check. Her pulse is still hovering around 100 which is where its been since chemo started last week.

She is very tired still today and her mouth is still giving her fits. BUT, she has finally found something she likes to drink. Her nurse, Victoria mentioned Sierra Mist this morning and her eyes lit up. She's sipping that and keeping it down better than anything yet.

I am so glad to hear that Cheryl has a good doctor and a great nursing staff staying on top of things for her and got the fever under control. I know when Lonny had his fever shortly after surgery it always made me nervous. What a difference it makes when you have a great medical staff on your side that you can trust with confidence.
Keep the positive energy strong...and continue along on this path. God is with you all!

Hey guys, Chief K, Charlie here. Glad to hear things are "better", especially glad to hear that you have a world class Dr, finally in your corner. I would share this with you though, try to get off the statistical record setting pace and just be normal like the rest of us 95%ers. I know, like you had a choice!!! This blog is a great thing since you have so many of us who care and are wanting updates, like me, but don't want to keep emailing or calling or stopping at your house with a bus load of delinquents. I will sign off now and wish you the best and will keep all of you in our prayers and wish this year to be over and next year to be your year of FULL RECOVERY. I know you will because you are obviously a strong individual with a strong family backing you all the way. Keep it up guys and I will holler again later.
