Three Roses, One Tear

Cheryl Lee Britton
19 August 1963-3 January 2008
Mother, Wife and Angel

At 1:50pm this afternoon, Cheryl finally decided we were prepared to follow on without her for a time. It was fifteen years ago today we spent our first night together in San Antonio as a family

We were able to place three beautiful pink roses beside her pillow before she passed, the nurses made an exception to not having flowers in the room for her. I have never smelled roses as sweet as those.

One rose representing her love for her family.
One rose to to mark her path through life and the happiness she shared.
The final rose and the largest, for her faith and strength and to show God and those preceding her and to shed her sunshine from high to better warm our hearts.

As I felt Cheryl moving on, one large tear ran slowly from her eye and down her cheek.

Sean and I and the rest of the family know you were saddened by leaving this way, the tear was noticed. We hope you enjoyed the small gift of flowers we were able to provide thanks to Mary Roza.

Good Night my darling.

She'll be missed, Rick. She was such an upbeat person. You'll be together again someday.

My dear friends, Rick and Sean....my heart aches with you. I just knew she would get through this. I am so very sorry. I wish I could be there for you both. May the Lord bring peace to your hearts very soon. Through God's amazing grace...she is free of all pain...she is truly free. May the angels surround her with love.
Remember, I am just a phone call away. I love you both....Mary

You have touched my life and have made it brighter. I was blessed to have had you in my life and pray that your family can smile knowing you are with GOD. I know that they would rather have you here as do I but I know that you were needed elsewhere. The tear are coming for the time missed that I would have spent with you and for your family. I will miss you dear friend

Cheryl - I will miss you too even though we had never met. The stories Rick shared with me about you two were endlessly entertaining. You were a special woman. May you rest in peace.

Rick & Sean,

Cheryl was a dear and cheerful person to work with. She always had a smile on her face or always had something to laugh about. I worked with her for over 4 years and cannot remember one day she did not smile. That is what I always have and always will remember about Cheryl. Cheryl, I wish you peace and comfort, up in heaven with God. You deserve the peace and rest from here out. You are a champ in my eyes now and always. Rest in peace my dear friend.
